Do it for yourself

Not for me, not for them
Do it for yourself.
For the dreams you wake for,
For the life you dream for.
Walk, sit, admire,
Cry aloud to shout out your desire.
Burn,
To give light,
Not to show a way in dark
But to make the day shine bright.
For their fault, let them cry,
Because you’ll be stuck here alone
If you help them to fly.
Not that selfish you need to be
And the world awaits here you see,
But to find you
Let it be that stubborn you
Be mad,
Be crazy,
Once, only once, for yourself.
Not for me, not for them
Do it for yourself.
