A  Gynaecology is the postgraduate level education. To pursue a career in this field, you should start by taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Then go for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. The duration of this course is 5½ years of which the last one year is a period of rotary internship, which is devoted to complete practical training.

CBSE conducts NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)(http://cbseneet.nic.in) for admissions to MBBS, BDS and nursing courses. The Entrance Test consists of one paper with 180 objective type questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. There are other institutes like AIIMS, AFMC, PGI and JIPMER which conduct their own all-India level test.

After completing MBBS, appear for the entrance test for taking admission in MD/MS course and choose gynaecology as a specialization. Duration of MD is 3 years.
