I am sure, by now, most of you will have already begun a new academic year, having scored good percentage of marks in the previous year’s exams. Some of you have done exceptionally well. Hearty congratulations! We are proud of each one of you, particularly the toppers. We wish you all the best in the coming year, as well.
THE TEENAGER TODAY has always been very close to the young people of the country, particularly of the North Eastern States of India. Over the past three decades, the schools and junior Colleges in the region have been supporting the magazine in a big way. Over a decade and more, in the late nineties, THE TEENAGER was even fondly referred to as “the darling of the North East”. We continue to count on you, friends.
We are happy to feature in this issue the toppers from Assam and Meghalaya: Ria Khatoniar, (10th std) and Sneha Kashyap (12th std) both from Holy Child School, Guwahati (Assam), Anurag Tewari and his classmates (10th) from Sherwood School, Tura, Meghalaya. We also bring you the singing sensation from Nagaland, Alobo Naga, and glimpses from the award-winning Assamese children’s film Ishu.
What led Anurag, Ria, Sneha and their classmates to the victory stand? They share the secrets of their success with our readers on being asked by THE TEENAGER TODAY.
“I would set small targets for each day, and strive to achieve them,” quips Sneha from Holy Child School, Guwahati. For Anurag Tewari from Sherwood School, Tura, “Hard Work and Consistency” were his mantra for success. Topper Ria Khatoniar from Holy Child School, spells out her strategy to success: “Do not run behind success. Pursue excellence and success will follow you!”
For sure these are proven keys to success, attested by the toppers whom you will meet in the pages of your favourite magazine, this month. Pursue them and success will follow you, as Ria affirms. Happy reading!
