5 Ways to Take You on a Journey of Happiness

In the current scenario of constant comparison, competition, stress and the fear of missing out, we often find it difficult to be happy. This World Happiness Day (20 March), let’s embark on a journey of more happiness and joy every day.

Happiness can be described as a sense of well-being, joy or contentment. Here are five ways that can help you be happier:

1. Miracle list

Create a list of all the things that you are grateful for. Taking the time to appreciate what you have in your life can help shift your focus away from what you lack and increase feelings of happiness. Try keeping a gratitude journal in which you write down the things you’re grateful for each day.

2. Sports

Regular physical activity has been shown to boost mood, improve sleep and increase happiness. Taking up a sport such as football, tennis, swimming, or even something as simple as taking a walk, can lead to greater happiness.
