Another dawn

She saw him through the mountains
His eyes, so powerful
But his smile, so soothing
Showering the rays of love upon her.
She stared and stared,
Her eyes never felt weak.
She was stupid! He was far…
She raised her hands
To touch him, to hold him…
Her fingers felt wet.
“Was he crying or was it the rain?”
She did not know.
She saw him going down,
Going down deep into the sea.
Darkness closed her wet eyes,
But her heart still gleamed with hope…
The hope of another dawn!
