“Hard work and consistency are a must.”
~ Anurag Tewari

Saurabh Sonar (SS): How did this achievement come about?
Anurag Tewari (AT): It was my dream right from my childhood to secure the top position in the board examinations. I derived my inspiration from Anand Mishra from Sherwood School itself who topped in 2009. My parents, teachers and my friends, too, motivated me to achieve this feat.

SS: What are the factors that helped you to excel in MBOSE SSLC examination 2018?
AT: The wonderful faculty at the school was the prominent factor. The ‘Smart Class’ device, with its various analytical concepts, too, helped me. My parents never pressurized me and allowed me to study and prepare in my own way.

SS: What tips can you give to the students who will be appearing for the upcoming Board exams?
AT: Planning is the most essential factor which students have to do regarding the subjects. They have to set a target which they must try to achieve in a systematic manner and try to overcome the shortcomings. Reading newspapers and gathering information from different books also help a lot. And most important is to be honest in one’s approach. Hard work and consistency are a must.

SS: Tell us about the environment in your school and at home.
AT: The school environment is very good with caring teachers, and I was present for all my classes. I always worked with pride and gave my best in everything I did. Back at home, the environment was peaceful and my parents created a healthy atmosphere whenever I was stressed due to the tight schedule.

SS: What are your future plans?
AT: Well, right now I am doing my Higher Secondary from Delhi Public School, Dwarka in New Delhi. After that, I am planning to study at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. Ultimately, I have set my target to become a Chartered Accountant (C.A.) and I hope that I shall be able to fulfil my dreams.
