flight to the imagination and life to everything.”

Furtados School of Music (FSM) was founded in July 2011 with a vision to make quality music education accessible to children and individual, young and old, making the entire learning process full-filled, joyous and memorable.
The music institution is currently the largest music educator in India spreading the joy of music learning to almost 70,000 students. The institution has partnered with over 200 schools across India. FSM also has its own music academic centres across major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore and Akola and continues to spread its wings to make quality music learning, an enjoyable journey for its students.
Furtados School of Music (FSM) has curated Band-it Festival, a national platform for young talented and aspiring music students. The festival is a music competition that encourages ensemble and solo performances.

Band-it Festival is an event that invites all the schools to participate in this music festival and battle for the winner’s title. In the last two years, the event has achieved immense success and touched the pinnacle by going National. In 2018, Band-it Festival stepped a level up by auditioning school bands across five major cities. This year, the event focuses on eight major cities — Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata.

What’s more, this year the event holds various competition under its wings — Band Competition, Solo Singing, Choir Singing, Solo Instrumental and Beat Boxing competition.
The idea is to have a festive environment where young musicians enjoy the competition, exchange views, learn from each other and all under one roof — Band-it.
Band-it Festival 2019 shouts out to all the school bands across the nation to participate and be a part of this prestigious music festival. The auditions will be held in the month of October. The Grand Finale will be held in Mumbai on 16 November 2019 commemorating Children’s Day over the weekend.
