For most people, buying a smartwatch comes down to which one offers the feature set they’re looking for. The Blocks Modular Smartwatch lets users add any feature they want, whenever they want it. It features a customizable band composed of swappable modules that let you add features like extra battery, heart rate monitoring, GPS, NFC, and altitude, pressure and temperature sensors. Fitness fiend? Load the Heart Rate module and GPS module. Going somewhere scenic? Attach the Camera module and Extra Battery module. It also handles common tasks like displaying notifications, handling phone calls, and activity tracking. The Core module runs on Android Marshmallow and is compatible with iPhone and Android phones. It features a round, 1.4-inch colour AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4.0, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and a 300mAh battery. There’s 4GB of memory, 512MB RAM, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi, and sensors for activity tracking including a 9-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. There’s also a microphone for voice controls and a vibration motor for haptic alerts.
