I want to take up physiotherapy

Female physiotherapist treating a patient

I am studying in class 12 with PCMB. I want to take up Bachelor of Physiotherapy after the 12th. What are the various institutions where I could do this and the entrance exams required for it? Do I have to write the CET Karnataka exam for it?

In Karnataka there are five universities and many affiliated colleges which offer Bachelor of Physiotherapy. These are Manipal University, Manipal (manipal.edu), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (rguhs.ac.in), NITTE University, Mangalore (nitte.edu.in); Yenepoya University, Mangalore (yenepoya.edu.in), K.L.E. University, Belgaum (kleuniversity.edu.in).

Each university has different criterion for admission though eligibility is same, i.e. 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. NITTE University admits the students on the basis of marks obtained in its All India Entrance Test, NU UGET. In other universities, admissions are on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Still it is better to go to their websites and find out the admission criterion for the current session.
