City lights

We’re standing on the edge,
One mistake and we’re chained in a cage.
Standing so high, your arms around me,
Seems like your love has set me free.
City lights, fifty-one floors below us,
But we’re far away without any fuss.
Every day, I fall for you again,
‘Cause we’ve gone through joy and pain.
I don’t care as long as we’re together,
I want to forever cherish your touch like a feather.
I promise to love you with your flaws,
Nothing can separate us, no rules or laws.
City lights shining like your eyes,
Something about them tells me we’ll be alright.
