Get the look!

So, this month, I thought, why not show you guys how you can look like your favourite stars. But before we get started I’ll let you in on an industry secret. The amazing designer outfits that they wear are actually not owned by them. They don’t buy these outfits. They have people who borrow them from the designer for them. Before I found out about this I used to dream about never wearing the same dress a second time but now I know how stupid that is! So yes, don’t try to ape the designer outfits that they wear because it’s pointless. But yes, the everyday casual outfits that they wear, you can imitate those. You can get the basics from street shops in your neighbourhood. Look out for local shops that sell Indian and Western designer outfit copies at low rates.

Actress Kareena Kapoor in a red pleated long skirt and black jacket

Kareena Kapoor

This outfit that Kareena has worn is simple but formal and chic. You can buy the same pleated long skirt from Stalkbuylove. It’s available in a darker shade (maroon). Wear your own black tank top or camisole with it. The blazer is available from Stalkbuylove at a throwaway price, too. Basic black pumps will go well with this outfit.

Gauri Khan wearing black leather pants and black ethnic top

Gauri Khan

I simply love this basic black outfit that Gauri is wearing! She has found her perfectly-fitted faux leather pants. You can find yours at a Zara store. I would suggest going and trying it on before buying it because fit is important. But if you’re very sure about your size and fitting you can order it online from sites like Zara or FabAlley. You can get similar shoes from StreetStyleStore at a throwaway price. You can buy the black top from Forever 21. You can find a top similar to Gauri’s on Myntra.
