Goodbye

As tears roll down my cheeks,
You caress my face and engulf me in your warm embrace.
Told me I have to be brave,
After all I have a lot to face.
I sigh into your hair,
And cry out in pain,
The pain I felt to be drained.
But it was not enough,
Not enough to rub away the touch of your love.
I was dying… was that not enough?
Time was running away;
So was our luck.
And here the train comes,
To take me to heaven’s door.
I wish goodbye was an option… but it is not.
