Humans being humans
As I continue to get taller and older,
I have started to lose faith in humanity,
I see people being ruder, impolite and colder,
I have noticed a significant decrease of sympathy.
A world where everything revolves around money,
A world where neither women are safe nor are men,
A globe where harassing and bullying are found funny,
A sphere where actually a knife is stronger than a pen.
Where crimes are concealed by cash,
Where bodies are considered as things,
Where love and friendships are thrown in trash,
Where trust and bonds are hung by strings.
A world where kindness is mute,
A population that lacks its sanity,
Where lack of empathy has become acute,
A world where I see humans, but no humanity.
