Kurkure or Lays?
This incident happened when I was in Std X, in our Chemistry class. The students in the class sat on benches arranged in three rows. For a particular class we decided that the members of our group would occupy the last benches of each row to eat chips. I opened a Kurkure packet and emptied the contents into my skirt and others in each bench did the same. We all started eating. The teacher saw me munching. She asked me to stand up. As I stood, all the Kurkure fell down on the floor with a sound. I, however, denied that we were eating anything. She then asked me to show her the unopened packet. Now came the difficult part. I was wondering how to give her a new packet. I had a Lays packet in my bag. When I showed it to her, she said, “No, show me the orange packet!” I was getting more nervous and my ears were turning hot in embarrassment. I didn’t know how to react. It was the first time I had eaten in class and got caught! She warned us not to eat again in class. We apologized and promised to be careful.
