A letter from the diary of every adult

Dear sweet child,

I take it upon myself to tell you everything I have learnt so far. Aren’t you so excited by the concept of being an “adult”? So was I back then and it is rather hilarious how I want to go back to good old days now that I am all grown up.

Trust me when I say that being all “grown up” is not easy. Please do pay attention to the words here. It is not “easy” but not “impossible”, quite contrary to what certain situations, feelings, dark thoughts and unwanted people will give you to believe. Life is difficult, you have these sharp turns and twists, at times you reach a point where you have to take a new route, there will also be a time where you will have to pause, think, rethink and move on but this is common to all of us.

You will be thrown out there in the wide openness, alone and tired, bare and vulnerable to face the ugly truths masked by the very fairy tales and fables that fascinated you as a kid.

You will be thrown out there in the wide openness, alone and tired, bare and vulnerable to face the ugly truths masked by the very fairy tales and fables that fascinated you as a kid. You will be given to believe that you are alone in this, but there will be things and people behind the scenes looking out for you. However, the greatest motivation and strength for you will be your will-power and determination. Never give up. Grow up into a wonderful person. Spread love and happiness.

These are just a few words from the depth of the truths that my life unravelled to me.
