Lonely at my death bed

by Gaurav Patowari (17)

Lost.
I am lost somewhere,
In some corner of the world.
Like a dry lifeless leaf,
Blown away by cold, whistling wind.
Broken.
Shattered by the ruthless blows
Of the mighty time.
Like the sculptures of proud, furious kings,
All ruined by the ravages of time.
If gods compel me to this destiny,
To die alone, with no one beside my bed.
As I pray alone in the dark,
“Oh Lord, come tenderly.”
I am lost somewhere.
Somewhere far. Somewhere in the dark.
