Minimal Phone offers you a digital detox with smartphone features
The Minimal Phone aims for less distraction and no mindless scrolling. Its backlit, monochrome, eye-friendly E-Ink display provides easy outdoor readability and uses less power. The phone measures 120 mm x 72 mm x 10 mm, and its 4,000 mAh battery allows for four days of usage, with support for rapid charging. Its tactile, full QWERTY keyboard is designed for quick, precise typing. Powered by a custom MnmlOS based on the latest Android OS, it can call, text and email, and host “select third-party apps essential for modern living, such as ride-sharing or navigation apps, without overwhelming the user”. Calendar, Notes and other productivity tools are included, too. The phone features an 8MP front-facing camera and a 16MP rear camera, fingerprint and face unlock, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with 5G being explored. It plays music from YouTube and from local storage via a headphone jack. Support for Android Auto and contactless payments are in the works.
