Nail trends to try
Being fashion-conscious is not everyone’s cup of tea. Everyone doesn’t spend hours shopping for the right clothes and the right shoes. But there’s one thing that’s easy to keep up with — nail trends!
Nail trends are the new rage and are ever-changing. Over the years we’ve gone from basic French manicures to going all out with nail extensions, metallic nail art and whatnot. Nail art has been in the market for a very long time but in recent years, it has become a booming industry in India. It all started with nail stickers and went on to creating beautiful designs with nail paints and different kinds of polishes and embellishments.
Having beautiful nails can help you feel good and boost your confidence. Words are not the only way you can express yourself. Your nails can help you stand out effortlessly. Besides looking fabulous, nail extensions and nail art can be a form of self-expression. You can express your gothic style with dark nails or your classy style with elegant nail art or your bubbly side with polka dots or floral nail art!
This month, I’ll help you choose the right nail shape and pick from the right kind of extensions and the latest nail art trends to help you keep your nails looking chic.
Nail Shapes
Whether it’s nail extension or your real nails, you’ll want your nails to be in good shape when you show them off. Shaping the tips of your nails is another essential part of nail art and nail trends. There are a number of shapes that you could try on your nails but these are the trending shapes:
Basic square shape nails look very nice if you don’t feel at all experimental.
Round nail shape is the best if you want to keep your nails short and sorted. This shape is perfect if you want to get a floral pattern nail art on it.
If you don’t like sharp edges, you can go for a chic oval shape. This shape looks great if you like your nails long.
If you can’t pick between square and oval or round shapes, you can even go for ‘squoval’ shaped nails.
Stiletto nails look very dramatic with their sharp points. These spiky nails look beautiful if you’re going for dramatic nail art.
If you like embellished nail art, you can go with a ballerina shape. This shape is the new trend and is also popularly known as a ‘coffin shape’.
