Roar
You’ve shut her down all her life,
You’ve stopped her from being what she wants to be.
You’ve chained her to these heavy expectations,
And now she knows it’s time to break free.
She’s tired of being told what to do,
Of how to act, how to speak.
Oh, you damned soul, how foolish of you to think she’s weak.
You’ve silenced her thoughts,
You’ve dimmed her light.
You underestimate her to no end,
But she’s determined to fight.
For she is so much more,
She’s meant to fly high,
The sky is hers to soar.
She’s not a puppet that dances to your words,
But a lioness that causes the earth to tremble,
Every time she roars.
