Soulmates

As the sun bids farewell to the world,
Treading slowly,
Tinting the sky with tinges of
Orange, garnished with a bit of yellow here and there;
Two soulmates embraced one another,
Not bothering if they knocked each other out of air.
“We shall unite in the long run”, they sang,
Hashished by the words of love that rang,
Loud and clear in their worlds for years,
Enough to bring them close to tears.
Strong as they were,
They said goodbye,
But couldn’t any longer,
Keep their cheeks dry.
One last time they sadly smiled,
Hoping to sew the hearts,
That they were about to leave behind.
