Bovine fun

How useful can ‘mooing’ be as a hobby? Apart from the satisfaction it gives, it turns out that being a good ‘moo-er’ is quite a big deal. There are annual mooing contests that attract mooing enthusiasts from everywhere. Austin Siok, a 10-year-old boy, has been mastering the art of mooing since he was a little kid. In a recent contest, he beat 80 participants to emerge as the winner. He won a thousand dollars, a cow-print jacket, a golden cowbell and one year’s worth of Subway sandwiches free from the sponsor. Not bad… maybe it’s time to keep that stamp collection aside and moo-ve over to another hobby.
