Two-minute Pulao
Ingredients
1 cup fine rice
1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, green peas, finely-chopped French beans)
1 medium-sized tomato
1 tbsp garam masala powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp white pepper powder
1 tbsp finely-chopped green coriander
2 tbsps ghee
Salt to taste
Finely-sliced onions
Method
Wash and soak the rice in water for about 10-15 minutes before you use it.
Heat some ghee in the cooker and fry the finely-sliced onions. Add some ginger garlic paste to this and fry for a while. Add the finely-chopped tomato and fry well.
Now mix in the veggies, garam masala powder, finely-chopped green coriander and give it a slight stir.
Now add the rice into the cooker. Add just two cups of water and a little salt to taste.
Pressure cook the mixture for just two minutes. Remember to keep the lid on while it cooks.
Open the cooker after ten minutes and it will be ready to serve.
