Unravelling
Suddenly when you share your deepest emotions
I feel like a happy bird exploring the vast sky of your heart.
I pick and collect your ripe memories,
And hold your raw sorrowful ones close to my heart,
So that I can feel your pain.
But then you’re back to normal
And speak in a tone so formal.
The sky turns dark
And I am back to my forlorn nest
Content with what I collected today
Hoping that I would get more the next day.
I wait for the sun to rise
So that I can remove your disguise
Of an emotionless being
Without fumbling in the dark.
I wait for you to open up to me what you feel for me
And hope that you would take me to your cosy nest
Where you can hold me to your chest
And live happily ever after.
