Around the world at 77 years
When Japanese gentleman, Minoru Saito, decided to set out to sail around the world at the age of 77, he planned to get it done in around 286 days. The sea had other plans though. After many delays and choppy waters, the trip took 1080 days — about four times longer. Saito took it all in his stride. All the practice that he got from his previous seven solo trips must have helped.
